Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of HR and employment law required.
  • At least 4 years full time progressively responsible experience as a Human Resources professional.
  • 3 years of Benefits Administration experience.
  • Previous HR knowledge and skills, with a broad understanding of all the technical and functional components of HR including: compensation, onboarding, talent management, recruiting, benefits, employee relations as well as training and development. To include expertise in MS Office including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working within a healthcare setting.
  • Experience working as a Employ Relations Specialist
  • SHRM/PHR certification is desirable. 
  • Experience working with ADP


Under the general guidance of the HR Director, acts independently within established guidelines to oversee all employee relations issues and enroll new hires into orientation as needed. Investigating issues and providing resolution on the following: complaints about working conditions, disciplinary actions, applicant appeals, alleged wrongful terminations, harassment and discrimination allegations, or other HR related matters.

Other Duties
  • Administers human resources policies and procedures that pertain to employee relations.
  • Assists the Director of Human Resources in the areas of related to employee relations matters involving performance evaluation, disciplinary issues and employee grievances.
  • Researches and analyzes data pertaining to human resources.
  • Implements programs to increase employee satisfaction.
  • Helps identify and analyze any employee relations issues and possible resolutions.
  • Advises department heads in the development of employees to close skill gaps in support of career development.
  • Strong knowledge in employment law.
  • Providing advice to managers on reductions in force, position eliminations, and layoffs to ensure proper policies and procedures are followed.
  • Consults with the HR Director and in-house Legal Counsel as needed to obtain advice on problem resolution.
  • Maintains all HR logs to include Licenses and Certifications.
  • Enroll new hires into Orientations as needed.
