Required Qualifications
  • Three years of full-time progressively responsible clerical experience in a healthcare setting. Proficient with Microsoft Excel including complicated formulas (i.e. V lookup, Concatenating) required.
  • Experience with GE/IDX software applications and TES/ClaimsScrubber or other medical billing software required.
  • Experience in maintaining databases and analyzing data required.
  • Must be able to work well with all levels of individuals including physicians, staff, and management, to demonstrate excellent analytical, interpersonal, written and oral communication skills, including active listening skills, and be able to negotiate issues and resolve problems.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field and CPC or CCS.
  • Preferred experience in Crystal Reports including creating and manipulating reports.
  • Preferred experience with Cerner or other Electronic Medical Record.

  • Run and analyze Crystal reports (or reports from the available system/software) to determine which individuals require auditing as well as identify services to audit and maintain the overall audit schedule.
  • Act as the lead in coordinating the auditing process and managing the TES work files.
  • Work with department administrators to ensure that audits are completed timely and accurately by performing an evaluation of aging encounters in TES.
  • Participate in the design and implementation of the coding audit work plan by identifying encounters for audit and accessing the medical record documentation in Cerner when necessary.
  • Run and analyze reports to determine routine audits by monitoring and identifying patterns and trends and variances related to auditing results.
  •  Prepare reports as requested for CPMP Compliance Committee, CPMP Board of Directors, UFPC Presidents and others; minimally quarterly reports will be requested.
  • Ensure coding revisions authorized by department administrators are completed timely and accurately.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
