I am pleased to enclose the Fall 2012 edition of the University Physicians Referral
Guide. With the adoption and launch of Stony Brook Medicine earlier this year, our
clinical practices are now part of a more unified identity that encompasses Stony Brook
University Hospital, Stony Brook Long Island Children’s Hospital, the School of
Medicine, the School of Dental Medicine, and the other Schools of the Health
Sciences Center.
University Physicians is committed to providing leading-edge care and outstanding
service to our patients and meeting the needs of our colleagues and referring physicians.
This year’s referral guide has been redesigned to address feedback from last year and
includes a directory of services provided by the faculty of Dental Medicine. In addition,
our website now features a continuously updated physician directory, which you may
generate and save to your computer desktop or print for use within your office. This
new web-based physician directory is available by clinical department or service lines
(e.g., Cancer, Children’s, and Gastrointestinal). To access this feature, simply visit our
website (www.StonyBrookPhysicians.com) and look for the physician directory
button on the right-hand side of the homepage.
