Required Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in health administration, business administration or similar field
  • Ten (10) years of experience in healthcare administration and/or healthcare business and market development
  • Strong understanding of financial planning, budget preparation, trend analysis and financial analysis
  • Full understanding of Revenue Cycle Operations, included managed care impacts and negotiations
  • Strong understanding of Risk Management, including but not limited to Malpractice and General Liability
  • Experience with overseeing Human Resources with an emphasis on exposure to a PEO or other high performing employment models.
  • Strong operational knowledge of the Academic Ambulatory environment
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including presentations and negotiations
  • Excellent people skills, interpersonal skills to handle sensitive situations and confidential information
  • Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact, diplomacy, and good judgment
  • Ability to collaborate across departmental lines, establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers.

UMMARY- SB Clinical Practice Medical Plan (CPMP) is recruiting an Executive Director (ED) who will oversee all administrative staff and operations of CPMP, in addition to involvement in decisions made by CPMP Board of Directors. The ED will report to the CPMP Board of Directors. The successful candidate will have a visible presence with the CPMP physicians and will work closely with the CPMP Board and administrative leadership.

The ED is accountable for day to day operations of the Practice Plan. The ideal candidate will oversee the Business Operations of CPMP, including Revenue Cycle, Finance, Risk and the Professional Employment Organization (Human Resources). Additionally, the ED will work closely with the Chairs and Chiefs of each faculty department/division as well as their practice administrators and managers. They will be a strong manager, in touch with their direct reports and responsibilities and able to quickly analyze and inform the Board of Directors about opportunities and threats as necessary.

Job Duties & Essential Functions:

  • Oversight of daily operations related to Billing Operations, Finance, Risk and Human Resources
  • Dotted line responsibility for Compliance
  • Provide leadership in the conception, planning, and development of strategies and objectives related to the operations of CPMP for consideration and adoption by the CPMP Board
  • Fiduciary responsibility and ensuring meeting the CPMP annual approved budgetary guidelines.
  • Involvement in the budgetary planning of CPMP and the associated Departments
  • Direct the continuous development and improvement of the infrastructure that support CPMP operations

Other Duties
  • Manage and coach the CPMP staff
  • Attend and lead committee meetings as required by the organization
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state and CPMP policies and bylaws
  • Support the CPMP board in maintaining effective relationships between CPMP administration and the faculty providers
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by leadership.
