Adolescent Medicine


Adolescent Medicine

The Division of Adolescent Medicine provides primary and subspecialty care for adolescents 12 through 21 years of age. Their mission is to provide services to reduce or prevent high risk behaviors.

In addition to routine medical care, Adolescent Medicine offers specialized services including:
  • Screening and education for teens with high risk behaviors
  • Menstrual and gynecological disorders
  • Female and male family planning services
  • Substance abuse screening
  • Sexually transmitted infection and HIV screening and treatment
  • Screening and treatment for various mental health issues (ADHD, ADD, depression, anxiety)
  • Screening and medical care for patients with eating disorders including obesity.
  • Comprehensive sexual education and related medical care for any teen with developmental delay in conjunction with the Cody Center for Autism and Developmental Disabilities
  • Puberty and growth concerns
  • Medical care for gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender teens
  • Pregnancy testing
