Pediatric Gastroenterology
The Division of Gastroenterology and Nutrition offers comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services and provides long-term care for gastrointestinal, liver and nutritional disorders in children from infancy through adolescence. They are a multidisciplinary group of clinicians (physicians, nurse practitioners, and nutritionists) committed to delivering quality collaborative care and education to children and families, to maintain wellness or to care for the critically ill requiring diagnosis, treatment or ongoing care for a broad spectrum of disorders of the gastrointestinal tract such as:
- Gastrointestinal Conditions: Gastroesophageal reflux, acute and chronic diarrhea, constipation, cyclic vomiting, recurrent abdominal pain, Crohn Disease/Ulcerative Colitis, peptic ulcer disease, and celiac disease.
- Liver Diseases: Pancreatic disorders, neonatal jaundice, biliary atresia, acute and chronic hepatitis, childhood cirrhosis, portal hypertension
- Nutritional Disorders: Failure to thrive, feeding disorders, obesity, malabsorption, celiac disease (gluten intolerance)
