This is a particularly exciting time in Cardiovascular Medicine at Stony Brook as we experience logarithmic growth in our organization. Our new Heart Center is a state-of-the-art diagnosis, treatment and patient care facility that opened in 2004. Research laboratories are being renovated to support our scientific endeavors. Our faculty is expanding in an unprecedented way and along with this expansion comes new modalities in patient care and new research expertise. Among the services we provide are:
- General Cardiology evaluation
- Heart Failure & Cardiomyopathy diagnosis and management
- Non-invasive Cardiology, including stress testing and advanced echocardiographic diagnostic testing
- Invasive Cardiology
- Electrophysiology.
We diagnose and treat patients with a variety of cardiac disorders, including:

- Myocardial infarction
- Heart failure
- Cardiomyopathy
- Hypertension
- Mitral regurgitation
- Aortic insufficiency
- Marfan Syndrome
